Prep it right.
It all begins with the prep and that is where the Enumclaw Painting difference begins. This step is fundamental and we have custom built equipment and a unique process to do an incredible job. We wash with our high volume washer using a custom mix of cleaners that come directly from industrial chemical suppliers. Most homes of some sort of mildew and all will have dirt, dust and oils on the surface. We kill the mildew and with our soaps we de-grease and remove all contaminants.
What have I seen other companies do? I’ve watched other, bigger companies with a blue and green logo using zero cleaning agents, using the wrong application tips with a small machine washing a multi level home from the ground. This means this house was very poorly cleaned and could easily lead to premature failure.

More Prep!
I was going to have one image/info on prep but that is not enough!
This image is an old home in Enumclaw that we painted in 2022. The clear/greenish color is a customized primer(we like custom stuff). The primer is typically a clear but with some added green pigment the customer, and us, can visually see everything that has been primed and this aids in the top coat. The color was white on white. With the green primer we can guarantee we have a solid coat of white and it is the mills we want to provide longevity.
Most jobs need little priming, but on old homes like this there can be a lot of priming. Knowing when to prime and the correct priming is an important step in a properly prepared home.
- ATTENTION - Be careful with old homes and lead based paints. Once it has lead paint, it always had lead paint.

Fill the gap.
All sealants are not equal and some are just wrong. Using the right product will protect your home for many years. The wrong product will void the warrany on your siding(Seen it happen). We use top quality sealants and expertly apply them.
Expert tip: Never use silicone sealants on your home.
After all the prep, we apply the finish. Spraying, brushing or rolling. Sometimes all three, we choose the method that provides the most consistent finish that is backed by our warranty.
